Baby Portraits FAQs
|
Q. | How soon after my baby is born should I schedule a "New Born" session? |
| |
|
A. | It really depends on you and your baby's health and well being after the birth. If
you are feeling good and your baby is doing fine, we ideally like to schedule "New
Born" session around the time your baby turns two weeks. |
|
Q. | What's involved in booking an appointment for my baby? |
| |
|
A. | Our approach is to work with our moms and to schedule a time that fits into their
baby's schedule, and not just ours. We know that there are certain times during
the day when your baby is most content and that's the time we want to take your
baby's portrait. We'll do our best to schedule the session during this time. |
|
Q. | What happens if I bring my baby in for a session and he or she becomes fussy or
is just not in the mood? |
| |
|
A. | This is certainly not uncommon. However, since we started booking our baby
appointments around the baby's schedule it has become much less of a
problem. Also, we allow for up to an hour for our baby sessions, so if your baby
needs to be fed, break for a diaper change, or just take a few minutes to relax in
Mom's arms, we have plenty of time to get your baby in the mood. If those
options don't do the trick, we simply reschedule a new appointment without any
additional charges. |
|
Q. | What if I am not satisfied with some aspect of working with you or your work?
Do I get my money back? |
| |
|
A. | Absolutely! We guarantee our work 100%. If for any reason you are dissatisfied
with our work or with working with us, we will refund your money and there
won't be any hard feelings either. We strive to create elated clients who will
willingly refer us to their friends and family. If you are dissatisfied, it's in our
best interest to return your money and that's exactly what we do. |
|
Q. | Will you be making suggestions as to how I should dress my a baby for the photo
session? |
| |
|
A. | Actually we provide the clothing for some sets and certainly make suggestions
when we don't provide the clothing. How you dress your baby for a particular
session will be a major factor in the success of the final portrait and for that
reason we want to be as helpful as possible. |
|
Q. | Do you offer a baby plan to capture my baby's first year and if so how does it
work? |
| |
|
A. | Yes we've been offering a baby plan for several years now and mom's love the
the concept of capturing the four major stages of growth within their baby's first
year. Those stages are "Pushing Up", "Sitting Up", "Standing Up" and "Walking".
Not all babies reach those milestones at the same time so while our schedule is
loosely based upon sessions at 3, 6, 9 and 12 months, we always flex the
schedule to meet the baby's level of growth. Shortly after the 12 month session
we provide the mom with a four opening matte panel that contains the photo of
their choice from each of the four sessions. Our mom's have the option of
receiving the panel framed or unframed. |
|
Q. | I'd like to take some revealing or semi-nude photos in my last weeks of
pregnancy. How do you handle this sensitive situation and make the session
respectful and comfortable. |
| |
|
A. | "Maternity" portraits have become very popular since actress Demi Moore
made her pregnancy portraits available to the public. We treat these sessions with a great deal of respect and as a husband wife team we have a good deal of flexibility in how we can go about
structuring a session. Our goal is to manage your session in a manner that is comfortable for you. |
|
Q. | What if during our session I need to change or feed my baby. Do you provide a
private location for that purpose? |
| |
|
A. | We have operated our studio out of our home for the past 17 years. As a
"Residential Studio" we only work with one client at a time. This means you can
have as much privacy as you need and we even provide a changing table if that
is helpful. |
